Veronica Smith

Veronica has been fortunate to have the influence of yogis throughout her life. Her formal study of the human body began in undergrad in 2008, sparking a deep fascination with the body and neuroplasticity of the brain through meditation and yoga. Overwhelmed by life’s demands in 2023, she dedicated herself to studying closely with Idayoga, fully committing to her practice, and learning the skills to share the transformative power of yoga with others.

As a Registered Oral Hygienist, Veronica views her medical license as a foundation for preventative healthcare. With specialty training and certifications in Trauma-Informed Healthcare, her classes emphasize healing trauma, overcoming Adverse Childhood Experiences, and learning effective coping mechanisms for everyday life.

The unique energy Veronica brings to the Idayoga team is one of complete body relaxation. Through the use of crystal alchemy sound bowls and a deeply meditative Yin-style yoga, her classes offer restorative benefits for the body while resetting nervous system, spirit, and changing thought patterns.

Yoga has been a gateway for Veronica into spirituality, allowing her to yolk science into the interconnectedness of our world. It has provided her with tools to improve her own mental health and that of those around her. Above all, yoga has allowed her to slow down and truly enjoy life.
